Hi, welcome to my blog!
Hena Sarkar is pursuing her Bachelor’s in English Literature from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. She had written for the first time at the age of 10, mostly nonsensical detective stories, and eventually gave up, not writing anything apart from academic papers for the next 10 years. It is in the very fortunate month of August ’16 that she resumed writing. She is a new poet and her work has found a home in some amazing lit mags like Quail Bell Magazine, Random Poem Tree, Moledro Magazine, and Life in 10 Minutes, among others.
Hena is also a child rights’ activist, an ardent animal lover, feminist and an LGBT supporter with zero tolerance for child abuse, animal abuse, misogyny and homophobia. Among the few dreams that she dreams, one is to build a foster home for stray cats and dogs by the time she’s 40, and be witness to a better world by the time she’s 95.
Or 90, even 80. Can’t tell when I’ll lose my eyesight! Anyway, that is all there is to say. For any help, queries, problems, or if you just need a shoulder to cry on, do not hesitate to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
